I built a WordPress website without a page builder or Gutenberg, then made its text and images editable from the front end with my new plugin, Pencil by Rino.

In this video I show how Pencil works, how it records changes, and what happens when content belongs to ACF or another dynamic plugin. I also build a second coffee website from an HTML template with Claude and NovaMira Free, then fix an image picker issue that showed up in the first run.
Pencil is an editing layer for custom themes built to its instructions. It does not turn an existing theme into an editable site just by installing the plugin, and I have not tested converting a page builder site yet. For small sites, though, this workflow is starting to feel useful.
